30DC Meetup – Manchester – November 2009
Hi,
Hopefully, you’re here because I gave you a card at the 30DC Meetup in Manchester, 2009.
This site is one of a series that I created in the run-up to the meetup, and I’ll be taking it forward from here over the next few weeks.
Thanks for popping by, and if you want to discuss anything with me, drop me a line at:

Tutorial – Adding a Graphical Opt-In Form to a Web Page
This tutorial was inspired by a set of free Opt-In Form Graphics I downloaded from here:
Link: Graphical Opt In Boxes
These are the kind of things you use to spice up your page layouts when you want to include a (normally boring) form to capture people’s names and emails.
I realised after downloading them that not everyone would find it easy to get the most from packs like these, so I recorded this tutorial that takes you step by step through the process:
- Choosing a Web Page template (included in the pack),
- Choosing an Opt-In Form Style
- Getting Set Up (an Important Step)
- Opening the files in the KompoZer HTML Editor (I’ve put a link at the bottom for you to download this if you don’t have an HTML editor)
- Inserting the code to display the form into the Web Page
The detailed Screencast Videos are below, where you can watch every detail of the process.
As always, if you have an idea for something you would like to see, put a comment in the comments box below.
